NOX 2027 Collection: everything you need to know

  First-hand analysis based on our own measurements. Every racket in the NOX 2027 collection has been tested on our Wilson Baiardo Tune Pro at PadelShop.com and paired with real players in our Padel Experience Center. The NOX 2027 collection is here and it is one of the most technically ambitious releases NOX has ever made. Seventeen rackets, five families, three completely new technologies and a shift towards materials that make the game more comfortable without giving up power. This article is the full guide: what is new, how the rackets compare and which one fits which player, based on numbers we measured ourselves and hours of court time with the range. How to read our measurements: hardness and swingweight in plain language Before we walk through the collection, two numbers to know. Every racket page on our site shows the hardness and the swingweight we measured for that specific racket on our Wilson Baiardo Tune Pro. This is a laboratory tool that measures how a padel racket actually behaves, so we can compare them on equal terms. Manufacturers describe their rackets in words like "medium-hard" or "soft feel" but those descriptions differ per brand. Our numbers are objective. Hardness (our scale: 50 to 75) How stiff the core of the racket feels on impact. A soft racket lets the ball sink deeper into the face which gives more control and comfort. A hard racket pushes the ball back faster which gives more power and a direct feel. 50-54: extremely soft 55-60: very soft 61-63: soft 64-66: hard 67-70: very hard 70+: extremely hard The NOX 2027 range measures between 60 and 65 on our scale, which puts the whole collection in the soft-to-hard segment. NOX has moved the range towards more arm comfort this year without giving up response. Swingweight (our scale: 140 to 185) How heavy the racket feels while you are swinging it. Two rackets can weigh the same on a kitchen scale but feel completely different on court because of where that weight sits. A low swingweight makes the racket fast in the swing and easy to react with at the net. A high swingweight makes the racket feel heavier in the head, which gives more leverage on the smash but demands more from the arm. Below 160: maneuverable 161-170: neutral 171 and higher: stiff The NOX 2027 range measures between 143 and 165 on our scale. Only the Genius Attack 12K Xtrem reaches into the neutral segment, the rest of the collection stays in the maneuverable range. What is new in the NOX 2027 collection Four technologies stand out this year. If you owned a NOX racket from an earlier season, this is what has changed. 12K Alum Xtrem carbon fibre: a new carbon weaving pattern that reduces fibre waviness by 50% compared to standard 12K. The face responds more uniformly across the whole hitting surface, which means fewer dead spots and a more consistent feel from shot to shot. MLD Black EVA (multilayered core): the core is now built from multiple layers of EVA rubber with different densities. On slower defensive shots the softer outer layers give the ball extra dwell time for control. On hard shots the denser inner layers respond firmer for maximum ball speed. The core adapts to how you play. VCS (Vibration Control System): a redesigned elastomer inside the handle. NOX claims a 60% reduction in vibration transfer compared to their previous generation. On court this means less shock through the wrist and elbow, especially on shots hit off-centre. This is the technology behind the range-wide push towards arm comfort. Weight Balance system: already introduced last year but expanded across the whole Luxury Series. Interchangeable 2-gram and 4-gram counterweights sit in the handle and can be swapped without tools, up to 8 grams total. Add weight for a more head-heavy attacking feel or leave it off for maximum maneuverability. You tune the racket to your game. Additional technologies that appear across the range include the Dual Spin surface (a 3D texture paired with a sandblasted finish, for extra grip on bandeja and vibora), the EOS Tunnel (lateral perforations in the frame that improve airflow through the head), the Pulse System (lateral rubber inserts that further reduce vibrations), Dynamic Composite Structure (DCS, the frame material extends into the face area to prevent surface cracking) and the Smart Strap (quick-release safety strap for easy cleaning).
