Munich Padx padel shoes

The Munich Padx is the flagship model of Munich Padel. It is the shoe of Franco Stupaczuk, one of the best players in the world, and that is not an accidental choice. The Padx is the most attacking and technically advanced model in the Munich range: narrower, more responsive and with a sole design specifically tuned for players who rotate a lot, push off explosively and make dynamic transitions.

What sets the Padx apart from the Atomik

Both shoes share the core DNA of Munich: Grip Line sole, X-Lite midsole and KPU reinforcement. But where the Atomik is wider and prioritises comfort and cushioning, the Padx is narrower, more snug and more aggressive. The fit wraps the foot more closely, giving more direct control on quick push-offs. For players with wide feet the Padx can feel too narrow.

Technologies in the Munich Padx

  • Double herringbone Grip Line sole: the double herringbone pattern with Grip Line technology gives traction in all directions on artificial grass and sandy surfaces. The double layer reinforces grip on explosive starts that load the foot more than normal walking.
  • Pivot circles in the forefoot: Munich integrates strategically placed smooth zones in the forefoot. This allows fluid rotation in defensive situations at the glass wall. When the foot rotates the knee normally absorbs the rotational force. The pivot circles reduce that force by allowing a controlled glide movement.
  • TPU reinforcement on the instep: a stiff TPU element on the upper part of the midfoot area. This gives structure under lateral load and prevents the shoe from deforming under intensive use.
  • X-Lite midsole: expanded EVA with quick response. The Padx uses X-Lite tuned slightly tighter than the Atomik, resulting in a more direct, less soft landing. That suits an attacking playing style where every millisecond of response time counts.
  • KPU mesh upper: the upper combines breathable mesh with KPU injections on the most wear-prone zones. Gives the Padx its characteristic snug, technical appearance.
  • Franco Stupaczuk and the Padx

The Padx was co-developed with Franco Stupaczuk, the Argentine player who was ranked in the top five in the world for years. His playing style is attacking and explosive, with many net approaches and quick push-offs. The demands he places on a shoe have been directly translated into the construction of the Padx: maximum grip on rotation, firm lateral support and a fit that holds the foot precisely in place under peak load.

Who is the Munich Padx for?

  • Attacking players: the Padx is built for players who actively seek the ball, approach the net frequently and make explosive speed changes.
  • Intermediate to advanced: the snug fit and direct feel work best for players who have already developed their movement technique.
  • Players with narrow to normal feet: the Padx has a narrower last than the Atomik. With wide feet consider going half a size up or look at the Atomik.

Noene insoles: also with the Atomik

The Atomik has good shock absorption, but on courts with a hard base and thin fibres vibration energy still comes through. Noene insoles absorb up to 96 percent of those vibrations preventively. We recommend Noene to every player, even if you already have good shoes.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Munich Padx run small?

Yes, the Padx is known for a narrower fit. Going half a size up is recommended by most users, especially with normal to wide feet. Consult the size guide on the product page.

Is the Padx suitable as a training shoe or only for matches?

The Padx is technically capable enough for intensive training and comfortable enough for daily use. For players who also use the Padx as a training shoe, the expected wear is slightly higher than with the Atomik.
