Bullpadel Vertex 05 2027
The Bullpadel Vertex 05 2027 is Juan Tello "El Gato"'s signature racket: a versatile diamond built for Total Play. Our measurement shows how Bullpadel makes an attacking shape behave like an all-rounder.
Our measurement
The core characteristics at a glance
Measured on our Wilson Baiardo Tune Pro. Real numbers, not box copy.
Hard, on the soft side. At 64 the core sits just over the boundary from soft to hard. For a pro diamond that is relatively mild: the racket feels direct enough for attacking shots, but keeps enough comfort to handle long rallies. Not brutally hard, not softly cushioned.
Our hardness scale
Maneuverable, weight more towards the hand. At 157 the mass sits closer to your hand rather than in the head. That is exceptional for a diamond, which normally scores 165 to 180. On court you feel a racket that gets you to the ball quickly on defence, and that generates power on the smash through shape and surface rather than through brute head weight.
Our swingweight scale
365 to 375 grams
medium (255 mm)
In practice: a surprisingly all-round diamond. The maneuverable swingweight and the non-extreme hardness make this racket more versatile than its shape suggests. You can attack, build up and defend without the racket getting in your way. Bullpadel's Total Play claim has substance.
Who is this racket for
Well suited to: the advanced to pro player with good technique who plays versatile, takes initiative, attacks but also builds up and defends. The maneuverable swingweight rewards quick transitions between positions.
Less suited to: beginners and light advanced players, and pure attackers looking for maximum head weight (for them the Hack is more obvious). With a sensitive elbow, wrist or shoulder, a softer and rounder racket is wiser.
Vertex 05 or Hack: which fits you
Both rackets come from the Bullpadel Pro Line, but their character is different. The Vertex 05 is a versatile diamond: maneuverable swingweight (157) and hardness just over the boundary to hard (64), built for Total Play. The Hack is a pure attack diamond: heavier in the head, more aggressive, built to finish points. In short: choose the Vertex 05 if you want to lead everywhere on court, and the Hack if you want to bombard purely offensively.
Playing characteristics
The diamond shape places the sweet spot high in the face, exactly where you need it on the smash and the attacking volley. Combined with the maneuverable swingweight, this delivers a racket that offers attacking potential without the heaviness of a pure power diamond. The Multieva core (harder outer layers, softer inner layer) delivers explosive power on hard shots and more comfort on softer, controlled shots. The Top Spin surface enhances grip on the ball for topspin and slice.
Technology
The Vertex Core, now in its 5th generation, features a triangular geometry that distributes forces better across its edges for more stability under impact. Curv:Aktiv, a twisted structure with a 31.6 degree rotation of the side faces, distributes vibrations more evenly and improves aerodynamics by up to 23%. Air Power, the second generation React Channel, is now 50% larger and accelerates the swing further. The XtendCarbon 12K face has 12,000 biaxially woven filaments for an intermediate stiffness that unites attack and control. The Top Spin finish is sandblasted for maximum grip. The Custom Weight system lets you tune balance and weight to your preference with 3 gram carbon fiber weight plates.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Vertex 05 and the Hack?
The Vertex 05 is a versatile diamond with maneuverable swingweight, built for Total Play (attack, build-up and defence). The Hack is a pure attack diamond, heavier in the head and more aggressive, built to finish the point. Choose the Vertex 05 if you want to lead everywhere on court, the Hack if you want to purely bombard.
What level is the Vertex 05 intended for?
For advanced to pro players with good technique. The diamond shape and hardness of 64 demand a stable swing, but the maneuverable swingweight makes the racket more accessible than a classic pure attack diamond.
Is the Vertex 05 suitable with a sensitive elbow?
Preferably not. With a hardness of 64 and a diamond shape, this remains a pro racket. The maneuverable swingweight reduces the load on your arm slightly, but with padel elbow, a softer and rounder racket is a better choice. Ask us for advice.
Can I test the Vertex 05 before buying it?
Yes. At our Padel Experience Center in Alphen aan den Rijn you can test the racket on court for 29.95 euros before deciding.
