In padel, tennis and other explosive sports, every landing, sprint and pivot sends a shock up from the court through your foot, shin and calf. These ground reaction forces are a major cause of tired legs, sensitive shins and tendon complaints. The Floky GRF Long is a long compression grip sock that absorbs these shocks across your whole lower leg, locks your foot into the shoe and helps you recover faster.

What does GRF mean, and what problem does it solve?

GRF stands for Ground Reaction Force: the force with which the ground pushes back with every step. That force generates vibrations that travel up through your shin and tendons. In high-impact sports like padel that happens constantly, on every jump, sprint and change of direction. Without damping, that leads to:

  • Vibrations and microtrauma in foot, Achilles tendon, shin and calf
  • Tired, heavy legs and sensitive shins after exertion
  • A foot that slides around in the shoe, with loss of stability
  • A higher risk of sprains and of tendon and muscle complaints
  • Energy loss during push-off and slow recovery

The silicone pads of the GRF Long act as an active shield: they absorb the shocks at the heel and the Achilles tendon and dampen the vibrations before they develop into inflammation. At the same time they provide grip, support and compression from foot to calf.

How does the GRF Long work?

  • Anti-slip silicone on sole and instep: better fit in the shoe, more stability, less risk of sprains and a better sense of position.
  • C-shaped insert for push-off: channels force toward your big toe for a more powerful, effective push-off.
  • Heel and midfoot damping: absorbs the impact on landing, reduces microtrauma and guides movement for better balance.
  • Calf protection: silicone pads follow the calf muscle, stabilize it and provide a massaging effect that helps reduce inflammation, fatigue and injury risk.
  • Shin protection: silicone pads on the shin dampen the vibrations from impact, deceleration and braking, and reduce stress on the joint.
  • Achilles damping and arch support: dampens vibrations, supports the arch and stimulates venous return for better oxygen supply and faster recovery.

A cushion effect with three-dimensional pads provides comfort in the most loaded zones, while the applications on the outside keep the chance of blisters small.

Which size do I need?

The GRF Long is available in five sizes: XS, S, M, L and XL, based on your shoe size. Consult the size chart to find the right size for your shoe size. If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller one for firmer compression and grip.

GRF Long or GRF Short?

The GRF Long is the long version, extending up over the calf and protecting your shin and calf as well as your foot. If you want a lighter, low-cut sock focused mainly on the foot, take a look at the GRF Short.

Frequently asked questions

What makes this a grip sock?

The anti-slip silicone on the sole and instep keeps your foot locked into the shoe, for more stability and control during changes of direction and less risk of sprains.

How do I determine my size?

Sizing is by shoe size, in five sizes from XS to XL. Choose your size using the size chart; if you are between two sizes, choose the smaller one for firmer compression.

What is the difference from the GRF Short?

The GRF Long extends up over the calf and adds shin and calf protection. The GRF Short is a low-cut sock focused mainly on the foot.

The Floky GRF Long is a supportive sports aid and not a medical treatment. If you have persistent, severe or increasing complaints, we recommend consulting a doctor or (sports) physiotherapist for personal advice.
