The NOX Genius 18K Alum 2027 is the signature racket of world number one Agustín Tapia. A teardrop-shaped padel racket built around an 18K aluminized carbon face, a multi-layered MLD Black EVA core and a Weight Balance system that lets you tune the balance yourself. Our measurement reveals a soft core paired with an unusually low swingweight for a professional-level teardrop, which makes this racket faster in the swing and more comfortable on the arm than most rackets in its class.

Well suited to: advanced to professional players: players who want an attacking geometry with more forgiveness than a diamond. The teardrop shape puts the sweetspot slightly higher on the face for attacking shots while keeping a reasonably generous hit zone.

• EOS Tunnel: lateral perforations in the frame that improve airflow through the head. What you notice: the racket moves easily through the swing despite its professional-level build.
• Oversize Grip: 30 millimetres of extra handle length. Useful for two-handed backhands and shifts more mass towards the head for extra inertia.
• VCS (Vibration Control System): a high-performance elastomer inside the handle that absorbs impact. NOX claims a 60% reduction in vibration compared to their previous system. What you notice: less shock through the wrist and elbow especially on off-center shots.
• Pulse System: lateral rubber inserts in the frame that further reduce vibrations transmitted to the hand.
