Who suits this racket
Well suited to: advanced to pro players who like to hit the ball high on the face and who want to play attacking. The high balance rewards good timing on smashes and viboras.
Less suited to: players who tend to hit the ball more in the middle of the face (a hybrid or round racket suits them better), players still working on their technique (a geometric shape demands clean impact points) and players with a sensitive elbow or tennis elbow. How does this racket play?
The sweetspot of a geometric racket is small and sits high on the face. Hit the ball there and you get maximum return. Hit it lower or to the side and you noticeably lose pace. This makes the racket more demanding than a hybrid, but if you have the technique it rewards you with a level of explosiveness that other shapes cannot match.
Where this racket excels: the smash, the vibora and the attacking bandeja. The weight in the top works as a lever at the moment of impact, so you generate pace with a relatively calm swing. In chiquitas and soft control shots the racket is less in its element: the hard face and small sweetspot give less feel on those shots. What stands out in our test: despite the high balance (25.5 cm) the swingweight sits at 157, in the maneuverable range. This is because the racket is relatively light (365-375 grams) and the frame is aerodynamic.
The technology: what do you notice?
- Vertex Core: a triangular structure in the heart of the face. What you notice: the frame stays solid on impact and does not turn in your hand. Especially on the vibora and smash the racket therefore feels stable and reliable. This technology is the foundation of the Vertex line and is developed further with every generation.
- 18K Carbon Hybrid (the face): the middle ground in Bullpadel's carbon range. Less soft and forgiving than 12K, less direct and hard than 24K. Feels solid but not rock-hard.
- Multieva core: the rubber at the heart of the racket. The outer layers are hard for power on hard shots, the inside is softer for feel on softer shots. This layered principle makes the racket respond differently to different shot intensities.
- Air Power: a large air channel in the head of the racket. What you notice: the racket accelerates more easily through the swing phase. Especially on the smash and on fast volleys you feel that you need less effort to generate pace.
- Hesacore grip: a honeycomb pattern on the handle. Ergonomically better for your hand and the pattern absorbs part of the vibrations. Also good against sweaty hands during an intense match.
- Vibradrive: rubber in the handle that dampens vibrations. Important in a racket with a hard face like this, since that transfers more vibrations to your wrist and elbow by default.
- Ease Vibe: four small dampeners integrated into the face. Bullpadel indicates they absorb up to 49% of vibrations. Interesting detail: you can place them in other holes to adjust the character (more control or more power).
- 3D Grain: a rough texture on the face. What you notice: the ball grips better, which produces extra slice especially on the vibora and attacking bandeja.
