Balance and swingweight: how easy is it to handle?

A low or even balance and a low swingweight mean the weight sits closer to your hand. The racket is more manoeuvrable, quicker at the net and easier to handle. A high, head-heavy balance adds power to your smash, but the racket feels heavier and asks more from your technique.

Hardness: how big is the sweet spot?

The softer the racket, the bigger the sweet spot and the more comfort you get. The harder the racket, the smaller the sweet spot: you have less margin for error, because you have to hit the ball exactly in the right spot. In return a hard racket gives more control and power on fast swings.

Weight

Most padel rackets weigh between 345 and 375 grams. Lighter rackets are faster and easier on your arm. Heavier rackets hit harder and feel more stable, but you feel them after a long match.
