Every time you brake, push off or step towards a ball, the court sends a shock back into your foot. Those shocks, combined with a foot that slides around inside your shoe, lead to tired feet, blisters and a higher risk of sprains. The Floky GRF Short is a low-cut compression grip sock that absorbs these ground reaction forces, locks your foot into the shoe and supports your explosive push-off.

What does GRF mean, and what problem does it solve?

GRF stands for Ground Reaction Force: the force with which the ground pushes back against your foot with every step. In padel that happens hundreds of times per match, on every landing, brake and change of direction. Without damping and grip, that leads to:

  • Shocks and microtrauma in the foot and tendons when landing and braking
  • A foot that slides around in the shoe during changes of direction
  • Loss of stability and a higher risk of sprains
  • Blisters from friction and tired feet during long matches
  • Energy loss during push-off

The GRF Short tackles this with targeted silicone applications and compression. The result: more stability and grip, better damping, a more powerful push-off and faster recovery.

How does the GRF Short work?

  • Anti-slip silicone on sole and instep: provides a better fit in the shoe, more stability, less risk of sprains and a better sense of position (proprioception).
  • C-shaped silicone insert: on the first metatarsal, channels force toward your big toe for a more powerful, effective push-off.
  • S-shaped and diagonal inserts: support the arch, guide the proper foot movement and stimulate venous return, for better oxygen supply and faster recovery.
  • Silicone on the Achilles tendon: dampens vibrations and redistributes the impact forces of each step, helping prevent microtrauma and inflammation.
  • Cushion effect: three-dimensional shock-absorbing pads in the most loaded zones, for comfort and fewer blisters.

Because the applications are on the outside without internal threads, friction stays low and the chance of blisters small.

Which size do I need?

You determine the size of the GRF Short simply based on your shoe size.

Size chart

Size Shoe size (EU)
XS/S 36 to 39
M/L 40 to 43
L/XL 44 to 47

If your shoe size falls on the border between two sizes, choose the size that fully includes your shoe size for the best fit.

GRF Short or GRF Long?

The GRF Short is the low-cut version, focused on the foot: grip, damping and push-off. If you also want protection for your shin and calf for high-impact sports, take a look at the GRF Long, which extends up over the calf.

Frequently asked questions

What makes this a grip sock?

The anti-slip silicone on the sole and instep keeps your foot locked into the shoe, for more stability and control during changes of direction and less risk of sprains.

How do I determine my size?

Sizing is by shoe size: XS/S for 36-39, M/L for 40-43 and L/XL for 44-47.

What is the difference from the GRF Long?

The GRF Short is a low-cut sock focused on the foot. The GRF Long extends up over the calf and adds shin and calf protection, ideal for high-impact sports.

The Floky GRF Short is a supportive sports aid and not a medical treatment. If you have persistent, severe or increasing complaints, we recommend consulting a doctor or (sports) physiotherapist for personal advice.
