Padel tank tops are the choice for maximum airflow and shoulder freedom. No sleeve chafing under the armpit, no fabric rubbing on a high bandeja. In warmer weather, on indoor courts with limited ventilation, or for players who simply prefer the most minimalist silhouette, a tank top is often the most comfortable padel shirt alternative.

What characterises a good padel tank top

• Wide shoulder straps: at least 3 cm wide, ideally wider. Too narrow straps cut in during lunges and provide insufficient support.
• Racerback or wide back: the racerback design gives maximum shoulder freedom and keeps bra straps hidden. Wide back versions give more coverage.
• Flat, soft seams: especially along the armholes where arms repeatedly brush during shots. Chafing seams cause irritation after an hour of play.
• Integrated light support: some tank tops have a sewn-in light bra layer. For extra support a separate sports bra is recommended.

When to choose a tank top?

For outdoor padel in summer when temperatures exceed 25 degrees. On indoor courts with limited air conditioning. For intensive training sessions where maximum ventilation helps to stay cool. As a layering system under a light jacket or windbreaker on colder indoor courts. And for players who simply want more freedom in the shoulders.

Material

The same technical principles as other padel clothing: polyester blend with moisture-wicking, light stretch, breathable construction. Tank tops are usually made from the lightest material in a collection, as the focus is on ventilation.

Care

30 degrees or lower, no fabric softener, dry inside out. Light tank top fabrics are extra sensitive to high temperatures, so be strict with wash temperature.
