NOX Padel Rackets

NOX is one of the most serious padel brands in the world. The Spanish brand operates at the highest level of the sport, with world number 1 Agustín Tapia as the face of the brand, and develops rackets that perform equally well at club and professional level. At PadelShop.com you will find the most complete NOX range in the Netherlands, from entry-level models to the latest 2026 Signature line. We do not just help you choose a racket, but the right racket for your body, playing style and level.

A common misconception: round rackets are not just for beginners

Many padel players assume that a round padel racket is automatically a beginner racket. That is simply not true. The shape of a racket says something about the position of the sweet spot and the playing style that goes with it, not about the level of the player. There are plenty of advanced and professional players who deliberately choose a round racket because of the control and wide playing zone it offers.

How it actually works:

  • Round racket: The sweet spot covers almost the entire face of the racket. This makes it forgiving and control-oriented, suitable for all levels.
  • Hybrid racket: The hybrid shape combines elements of the teardrop and diamond shape. The balance point sits slightly higher than on a teardrop, but the sweet spot is larger than on a diamond. This makes the hybrid racket an excellent choice for players looking for a mix of power and control, with more versatility than a purely attacking racket. The hybrid shape is almost always suited to advanced or professional level.
  • Teardrop racket: The sweet spot sits mid-high in the face. This provides a good balance between control in defensive play and extra power in attacking shots.
  • Diamond racket: The sweet spot sits high in the face and is smaller. This maximises striking power but requires consistent technique to hit the sweet spot reliably.

The NOX technologies that make the difference

NOX invests heavily in material development. Below you will find the most important technologies in the 2026 collection, so you understand what is behind the names.

  • Carbon 12K Alum Xtrem reduces fibre waviness by 50%, resulting in greater stiffness, a more durable finish and stable performance under temperature changes.
  • Carbon 18K Alum is aluminised 18K carbon that delivers a solid and comfortable feel, performing consistently under all weather conditions.
  • HR3 Black EVA is the core used in the professional lines. High-density rubber with maximum memory effect for explosive shots and powerful smashes.
  • Multilayered Black EVA combines different rubber layers with varying density for optimal ball response in both defensive and attacking play.
  • HR2 is the softer rubber core for players who prioritise comfort and feel over power.
  • Dual Spin combines a 3D texture with a layer of lightweight silica sand across the entire face. This double roughness maximises spin generation without compromising durability.
  • Pulse System absorbs vibrations through lateral rubbers along the frame. This is directly relevant for injury prevention, as fewer vibrations mean less strain on the wrist, elbow and shoulder.
  • Weight Balance is an interchangeable counterweight system that lets you adjust the balance point of your racket with inserts of 2 or 4 grams. Unique within the NOX range.
  • EOS Tunnel / EOS Flap are lateral perforations in the frame that improve aerodynamics and increase manoeuvrability.
  • SmartStrap® is the replaceable safety cord system from NOX, more hygienic and customisable than a traditional cord.

Weight and injury prevention: choose carefully

The weight of your NOX padel racket is one of the most underestimated choices when buying. Playing with a racket that is too heavy or too head-heavy is one of the most common causes of padel injuries, including elbow pain, wrist complaints and shoulder problems.

Women generally play better with rackets between 340 and 360 grams. A racket that is too heavy increases the strain on the wrist and shoulder, especially when technique is still developing.

Men at recreational and intermediate level are generally well served by 355 to 370 grams. Advanced players who deliberately play offensively can consider moving towards 365 to 380 grams, provided their technique and physical condition support this.

Pay attention to the balance point as well. A head-heavy racket delivers more striking power but increases the load on your arm with every shot. Playing with a racket that is too head-heavy without the technique to compensate brings a real risk of injury.

All NOX lines explained

AT10: The line of Agustín Tapia, world number 1

The AT10 is the signature series of Agustín Tapia, nicknamed "the Mozart of Catamarca." It is the most complete and technically advanced line in the NOX range.

NOX classifies the AT10 Genius as a teardrop shape. Based on our own measurements using professional equipment, however, this racket behaves closer to a round racket. Want to know what this means for your game? Come and visit our Experience Center and we will show you exactly what the sweet spot, hardness and swing weight of this racket do.

AT10 Genius 12K Alum Xtrem: Dual Spin surface, HR3 Black EVA core, Weight Balance system. The standard top model for advanced players combining power and control with maximum spin production.

AT10 Genius Attack 12K Alum Xtrem: Same construction as the standard AT10 but tuned for a more attacking playing character. Choose this model if you want to dominate primarily from the offensive.

AT10 Genius 18K Alum: Same structure but with 18K aluminised carbon on the face. This delivers a more solid and direct feel on impact for players who prefer hard, direct feedback.

AT10 Genius Attack 18K Alum: The attacking version of the 18K model. Maximum power, direct feel, high balance point. The most demanding NOX racket in the 2026 range.

AT10 Genius 12K Alum Xtrem Lite: The same technology as the standard AT10 12K but in a lighter weight. Ideal for advanced players sensitive to heavier material, or for women playing at advanced level.

Level: Advanced to Professional.
Face: Dual Spin.
Core: HR3 Black EVA.

ML10: The line of Miguel Lamperti, control genius

The ML10 is the signature series of Miguel Lamperti, one of the most experienced players on the circuit. The ML10 stands for control, feel and a classic NOX playing character.

ML10 Ventus Control 3K: Round shape, medium balance point, 3K carbon surface. The sweet spot covers almost the entire face. Lamperti deliberately chose a round shape, not because he is a beginner, but because it gives him maximum precision and playing security. Technically strong intermediate players who prioritise control will also find this a natural fit.

Level: Intermediate to Advanced.
Shape: Round.
Balance: Medium.

EA10: The line of Edu Alonso, hybrid power

The EA10 is the signature series of Edu Alonso. Both models have a hybrid playing character, combining power and control in a way that suits modern attacking play.

EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtrem: Hybrid shape, medium to high balance point, Dual Spin surface. Aimed at players looking for a broad balance between control and power, with room for spin and attacking play.

EA10 Ventus Attack 12K Xtrem: Identical construction to the Hybrid but with a clearly more attacking character. Choose this model if you see aggressive play and finishing shots as your primary strength.

Level: Advanced.
Shape: Hybrid.
Balance: Medium to High.

VK10: The line of Aranzazu Osoro, control and manoeuvrability

The VK10 was developed together with professional player Aranzazu Osoro and is therefore the only NOX signature line specifically tailored to female advanced players as well. Light, manoeuvrable and control-oriented.

VK10 Ventus Control 12K: Round shape, medium balance point, 12K carbon surface. The sweet spot covers the full face. This racket gives advanced players who want to play defensively and precisely maximum confidence in every shot, without the heavy feel of the AT10 line.

Level: Advanced.
Shape: Round.
Balance: Medium.

Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite: Allround hybrid power without a signature

Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite: Hybrid shape, medium balance point, 12K carbon. The allround intermediate to advanced choice for players who want Ventus technology without the premium signature price. The hybrid shape delivers a solid balance between control and spin production.

Level: Intermediate to Advanced.
Shape: Hybrid.
Balance: Medium.

AT10 Pro Cup: Signature feel, accessible price

The Pro Cup models carry the AT10 character but use more accessible materials at a lower price point. Suited to players looking to grow towards the AT10 segment.

AT10 Pro Cup Soft: Round shape, medium balance point, soft feel. Forgiving and control-oriented, well suited to players building up from a solid base.

AT10 Pro Cup Hard: Identical construction but with a harder playing feel. More direct response and slightly more power in attacking shots.

Level: Intermediate.
Shape: Round.
Balance: Medium.

Equation: Comfortable Progression

The Equation series is ideal for players who have mastered the basics and want to progress, but are not yet ready for premium materials.

Equation Soft Advanced: Soft feel, round shape, large sweet spot. More comfort and more forgiveness for shots hit away from the centre.

Equation Hard Advanced: Harder feel, more direct response. Suited to players who hit more consistently and want slightly more control over their shots.

Level: Beginner to Intermediate.
Shape: Round.

X-Zero and X-Hero: The entry-level models

The X-Zero and X-Hero are the most accessible NOX rackets, designed for players who want to start with a trusted brand without a large investment.

X-Zero: Simple, light, large sweet spot. Ideal for absolute beginners learning the sport.

X-Hero: Slightly more character than the X-Zero, same entry-level philosophy. Available in multiple colours.

Level: Beginner.

Frequently asked questions about NOX padel rackets

Which NOX padel racket is best for beginners?

The X-Zero and X-Hero are the most accessible entry-level models. If you want more quality and room to grow, the Equation Soft Advanced is the better choice: more comfortable feel, larger sweet spot and more reliable materials.

What is the difference between the AT10 Genius and the AT10 Genius Attack?

Both rackets share the same technological foundation. The difference lies in the playing tuning: the standard AT10 Genius is set up as a more allround racket balancing control and power, while the Attack variant is deliberately tuned towards attacking play and finishing shots.

What is the difference between 12K and 18K carbon at NOX?

18K carbon uses finer fibres woven more densely, resulting in greater stiffness and a more direct, harder playing feel. 12K carbon provides slightly more damping and flexibility. For players sensitive to vibrations or arm complaints, 12K is often more comfortable.

Is the ML10 also suitable for intermediate players?

Yes. Despite the professional calibre of the ML10, the round shape and large sweet spot make it more accessible than many other advanced rackets. Technically strong intermediate players who prioritise control will find it a natural match.

Can a NOX racket that is too heavy cause injuries?

Absolutely. A racket that is too heavy or too head-heavy for your technique increases the rotational load on your elbow and wrist with every shot. This is a common cause of elbow pain and wrist complaints in padel players. When in doubt, we always recommend testing first at our Experience Center.

What is a hybrid padel racket and which NOX models are hybrid?

A hybrid racket combines elements of the teardrop and diamond shape. The sweet spot is larger than on a diamond but the balance point sits slightly higher than on a teardrop. At NOX, the hybrid models are the EA10 Ventus Hybrid, EA10 Ventus Attack, Ventus Hybrid Lite, Future Hybrid and Future Attack.

Can I try a NOX racket before buying it?

Yes. At our Padel Experience Center in Alphen aan den Rijn you can test NOX rackets for free on a professional court. Our experts will watch you play and advise based on your playing style, level and any injury history.
