The Tretorn Supreme TR 2027 is a diamond-shaped padel racket for advanced players, developed for an attacking game with a balance between control and power. High balance, hard core and a rough face surface make this a racket for players who use the smash and vibora as main shots and who want to supply the energy in their swing themselves.

Our measurement

The key characteristics at a glance

Measured on our Wilson Baiardo Tune Pro. Objective measurements, no marketing claims.

HARDNESS 66 / 75
50 extremely soft62 soft75 extremely hard

Hard (66 on our scale). The ball sinks little into the face and bounces back quickly. This gives you a direct feel on impact and more control over placement, but you have to supply the energy yourself. With a sensitive elbow a harder face is a consideration.

SWINGWEIGHT 161 / 185

Neutral (161 on our scale). For reference: rackets built purely around power often sit at 165 or higher, while control rackets sit around 150. This racket sits just inside the neutral segment, with a slight tilt towards maneuverable.

BALANCE
high

In practice: a classic diamond shape with a high balance. The sweetspot is small and sits high on the face. The combination of high balance, hard construction and neutral swingweight makes this an attacking diamond, suitable for players who like to hit the ball high on the face and control clean impact points.

Who suits this racket

Well suited to: advanced players who control their technique and deliberately choose an attacking profile. The combination of diamond shape, high balance and hard touch rewards precise execution of the shot.

Less suited to: players still working on their technique (the small sweetspot is less forgiving), players who hit the ball centrally on the face (a hybrid suits them better), and players with a sensitive elbow. In that case have a look at our selection of rackets for padel elbow.

How does this racket play?

The sweetspot of a diamond shape is small and sits high on the face. Hit the ball there and you get maximum return on smash and vibora. Hit it lower or to the side and you noticeably lose pace. This makes a diamond more demanding than a hybrid, but if you have the technique it rewards you with a level of explosiveness that other shapes cannot match.

The hard construction (hardness 66 on our scale) deforms little on impact and gives a more direct ball contact. Combined with the high balance the weight sits more towards the head of the racket, which gives leverage on the smash. The rough face surface gives extra grip on the ball, helping on bandeja, vibora and slice.

The technology: what do you notice?

  • Diamond shape with high balance: weight distributed towards the head of the racket. What you notice: extra power on overhead shots such as smash and vibora, with a bit more effort to keep the racket maneuverable at the net.
  • Hard construction: the face deforms little on impact. What you notice: the ball comes off the face faster and more directly. More control over placement, but you have to supply the energy yourself.
  • Rough face surface: textured top layer. What you notice: the ball grips better, giving extra spin on shots like bandeja and topspin.

Frequently asked questions

Who does the Supreme TR suit best?
Advanced players who want to play attacking and who like to hit the ball high on the face. The diamond shape and high balance reward good timing and clean impact points.

Is the Supreme TR suitable with tennis elbow or a sensitive elbow?
With existing elbow complaints this is not the most logical racket. The core at hardness 66 transfers more vibrations to your arm than a softer face. We are happy to help you find a suitable alternative.

What makes the diamond shape important?
The sweetspot sits high on the face, exactly where you strike the ball on the smash and the vibora. That gives extra return on attacking shots, at the cost of the margin you have with a round or hybrid racket.
