Munich Atomik padel shoes
Munich Atomik padel shoes
The Munich Atomik is the most versatile and durable model in the Munich range. Where the Padx is built for attacking performance and the Hydra for versatility on varying courts, the Atomik positions itself as the reliable everyday padel shoe: technically fully equipped, long-lasting, and suitable for both intensive training and match play. PadelShop.com ranked the Atomik as the best padel shoe of 2025 in its own overview, with the combination of advanced cushioning and joint protection as the decisive argument.
Technologies in the Munich Atomik
- X-Lite midsole: expanded EVA foam with high absorption. Lighter than standard EVA but with equivalent or better cushioning performance. Every step feels softer, the load on knees and ankles decreases on hard courts. X-Lite also rebounds quickly, improving responsiveness on explosive push-offs.
- Anti-shock insert: an additional cushioning element in the heel. At the moment of landing, during stops and smashes, this insert absorbs the peak load on the heel. The combination of X-Lite and anti-shock insert makes the Atomik one of the better cushioned shoes in the Munich range.
- Grip Line sole: the double herringbone pattern with mixed textures that Munich has specifically developed for artificial grass with sand infill. Gives grip in all direction changes and supports rotations through the integrated pivot circles in the forefoot.
- KPU reinforcement on the toe: thermoplastic rubber on the toe cap. The most wear-prone zone of any padel shoe, where the front of the foot constantly scrapes against the court during stops. KPU is harder than mesh and lasts longer.
- TPU reinforcement on the bridge: provides stability during lateral movements. Prevents the foot from rolling inward or outward during quick stops or direction changes.
- 360 degree collar padding: padding runs all the way around the ankle area. This gives a comfortable, snug fit that supports the ankle with every movement, even during long sessions.
Who is the Munich Atomik for?
The Atomik suits intermediate to advanced players who play more than once a week. The model is unisex and therefore broadly applicable. Players who prioritise joint protection over absolute lightness choose the Atomik over the Oxygen. Players who prioritise maximum durability over attacking performance choose the Atomik over the Padx.
Note on fit: the Atomik has a slightly wider last than the Padx or Oxygen. If you have narrower feet, the Padx may fit better. The size guide on the product page gives the exact dimensions.
Atomik vs Padx: what is the difference?
- Atomik: wider, more comfort, more cushioning. The choice for players who want to train long and prioritise joint protection.
- Padx: narrower, more aggressive, more attacking character. The choice for players who prioritise explosive speed over comfort.
Noene insoles: also with the Atomik
The Atomik has good shock absorption, but on courts with a hard base and thin fibres vibration energy still comes through. Noene insoles absorb up to 96 percent of those vibrations preventively. We recommend Noene to every player, even if you already have good shoes.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Munich Atomik also suitable for beginners?
Yes. The wide fit, comfortable 360-degree padding and good cushioning make the Atomik a pleasant shoe for players still developing their padel technique. The shoe is not too stiff for beginners but has enough technical properties to grow with.
How long does the Munich Atomik last?
The Atomik is known as one of the more durable models in the Munich range. With two to three sessions per week count on eight to twelve months. Check the Grip Line pattern: once it wears flat you lose grip and protection.
