PadelShop.com started in 2017 with a personal search by former Dutch champion Marcel Bogaart. While looking for the right padel racket, he quickly realised how difficult it was to make a good choice. There was nowhere to test different rackets, personal advice was hard to find and most padel gear was only available through foreign websites.

That experience inspired Marcel to create the kind of padel shop he had been looking for himself. A place where players could find great products, but more importantly, get the knowledge and honest advice they need to choose what truly suits their game. What started as a solution to his own search has since grown into PadelShop.com, a place built around a shared passion for padel and helping every player get more out of the game.

At the heart of PadelShop.com is Marcel Bogaart, one of the pioneers of padel in the Netherlands. With more than a decade of experience in the sport, Marcel represented the Netherlands internationally for seven years, competing at both World and European Championships. His passion for growing the sport also led him to cofound La Playa, now known as Plaza Padel, and PadelShop.com. Today, he continues to share his knowledge and experience as a padel analyst at Ziggo, while bringing that same expertise into everything we do at PadelShop.com.
