Padel leggings for women

Padel leggings are the choice for players who prefer supportive, body-hugging clothing over skirts or shorts. The compression gives a pleasant hold, the fabric moves with you without sliding down, and on colder indoor courts or in winter they give just that bit of extra warmth around the muscles that affects your game.

Which length suits you

7/8 length: the most chosen length. Ends just above the ankle. Provides full leg coverage without the fabric creeping into your shoes at the ankle.

Short length (capri): ends around mid-calf. A popular choice in warmer months or for indoor courts with good ventilation.

Full length: down to the ankle. For colder indoor courts and players who want full warmth around calves and muscles.

Compression and support

Modern padel leggings have a light to medium compression level. That supports the muscles without restricting. Higher compression gives a stronger smoothing silhouette and better circulation during longer matches. Lighter compression gives more freedom of movement. Which suits depends on preference, build and what you are used to.

Material and stretch

A good padel legging combines 75 to 85 percent polyester or nylon with 15 to 25 percent elastane. That provides the stretch needed for lunges, smashes and lobs. The fabric is moisture-wicking for fast moisture transport. Under no circumstance should the fabric become see-through when bending over: always check this before the first match.

Important details

  • Wide waistband (4-6 cm): prevents the legging from slipping during movement. A too narrow band rolls and pinches.
  • Flat seams: especially along the inside of the upper legs where friction occurs during lateral movement.
  • Pocket or phone pocket: some models have a hidden pocket for the second serve ball or a phone. Not all leggings have this.

When to choose a legging?

On cold indoor courts where temperature drops below 18 degrees. In winter when you walk from the car to the court and do not want to cool down. For players prone to calf or hamstring injuries, because the light compression supports circulation. And for anyone who simply feels better in body-hugging clothing.

Care

30 degrees or lower, no fabric softener, dry inside out. High temperatures damage the elastane and moisture-wicking coating. With good care a padel legging lasts 100+ wash cycles.
