The women's padel clothing range has grown enormously in recent years. Where as a woman you used to fall back on tennis clothing or generic sportswear, there are now complete padel collections specifically developed for the movements, speed and intensity of padel. Short sideways lunges, lobs over the hand, smashes with full shoulder rotation. A padel shirt and padel skirt have to handle all of that without you needing to pull your shirt down halfway through or rotate a skirt around your hips.

What makes women's padel clothing different

• Specific fit: narrower at the waist, more space at the hips, fitted without restricting. Women's padel clothing is not the same as men's clothing in a smaller size.
• Inner shorts in skirts and dresses: the standard. Short fitted shorts under the skirt for comfort, freedom and a separate ball pocket for serving.
• Different silhouettes: skirts, short leggings, long leggings, shorts, dresses and tank tops. Every player chooses what fits her body, preference and court type (indoor or outdoor).
• Support for intensive sport: some padel shirts and dresses have a light integrated support layer. For extra support a separate sports bra is recommended.

The categories

• Padel shirts: short sleeve, long sleeve or tank top. Breathable, moisture-wicking, lightweight. Available in soft basics and bold models with graphic prints.
• Padel skirts: the most chosen silhouette by women padel players. Moves freely, looks good, the inner short provides the comfort of a short.
• Padel shorts: for players who prefer not to wear a skirt. Fitted with stretch or slightly looser depending on the style.
• Padel leggings: for warmer support, colder indoor courts, or personal preference. 7/8 length, short length or capri.
• Padel dresses: an all-in-one elegant option with integrated short underneath. Particularly popular for tournaments and match days.
• Padel tank tops: for warm days, well-ventilated indoor courts, or as a layer system with a light jacket on top.

Material and technology

Modern women's padel clothing uses the same technical principles as the men's lines: polyester with moisture-wicking for moisture transport, 5-10 percent stretch for freedom of movement, flat seams for comfort. UV protection on outdoor models. Anti-bacterial treatments against odour build-up. The difference with men's clothing is in the cut and the details, not in the technology.

Care

Wash technical padel clothing at 30 degrees or lower, without fabric softener, and dry inside out to keep colours vivid longer. The moisture-wicking and stretch then continue to work optimally. High temperatures and softener do the opposite.
